Position Details
Full time, 12 month contract. Reports to Director.
Internal relationships: Director, Deputy Director, Arts Officer, Marketing and Communication Manager, Business Manager.
Salary package: $70,000 + superannuation guarantee (12%).
Full-time employees are offered one beneficial rest day leave per calendar month.
$2,000 relocation allowance for applicants not from the Townsville region.
About the Festival
The PUNQ Festival is a 16-day celebration of North Queensland's rich cultural tapestry, focused on place-making through visual and performance art. The Creative Producer leads the festival's artistic vision, programming and execution across four main streams, while planning strategically for editions up to 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Program and curate festival content across the four main artistic streams.
* Collaborate with artists, partners and internal teams to secure and coordinate productions.
* Facilitate seamless execution of the festival's events, managing logistics, schedules and budgets.
* Lead long-term planning and sustainability initiatives for future festival editions.
* Provide leadership during intense periods of work leading into and during the festival, often outside standard working hours.
Qualifications & Experience
* Highly organised with strong experience in arts management.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build collaborative relationships.
* Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work outside normal hours during peak periods.
