We're looking for experienced Structural Engineers at Senior and Intermediate level to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle, or any other of GHD's Northern NSW offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on local building projects, while working as part of our collaborative and supportive multi-disciplinary global team.
Responsibilities
* Leading and supporting structural design projects for buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting.
* Working collaboratively with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
* Ongoing career development opportunities in a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture.
* Providing clients with expert technical guidance and strategic advice, while developing and maintaining strong and supportive client relationships.
* Project management and leading project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
* A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
* Between 5 and 15 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
* Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
* Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
* Strong communication skills and ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
* A passion for delivering high-quality, bespoke solutions and mentoring others.
