As part of our partnership with SNM Consulting, we are seeking a Senior HR Manager - Global to provide leadership across the organisation's people and culture function, ensuring a consistent and strategic approach to HR practices across all regions.
Role Overview
The Senior HR Manager - Global is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of people and culture initiatives across APD Global's international operations. The position will partner closely with executive leadership and regional managers to shape and implement the organisation's global people strategy while ensuring effective HR operations across multiple jurisdictions.
This role will lead complex employee relations matters, organisational change initiatives, workforce planning, and leadership development programs, while ensuring compliance with relevant employment legislation in the countries where APD Global operates.
As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, the Senior HR Manager will play a critical role in strengthening leadership capability, improving employee engagement, and supporting the organisation's continued global growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a global HR strategy aligned with APD Global's business objectives and international growth plans.
* Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, and people capability across multiple regions.
* Lead key people initiatives including leadership development, talent management, employee engagement, and culture programs.
* Drive consistency in HR policies, frameworks, and processes across global operations.
Employee Relations & Workplace Governance
* Provide senior-level guidance on complex employee relations matters across multiple jurisdictions.
* Oversee workplace investigations and sensitive employee matters while ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
* Support leaders in building strong people management capability and addressing challenging workplace issues.
* Promote best-practice employee relations frameworks that support a high-performance and respectful workplace culture.
Organisational Change & Workforce Management
* Lead global organisational change initiatives including restructures, workforce transitions, and business transformation programs.
* Provide strategic advice to leadership on organisational design, workforce optimisation, and succession planning.
* Oversee workforce transitions including redundancies, terminations, and role changes while ensuring compliance with local employment laws.
* Analyse workforce data and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation across all regions where APD Global operates.
* Establish and maintain robust HR governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support global operations.
* Manage HR risk by monitoring employee relations trends, workplace issues, and compliance obligations.
* Ensure accurate HR documentation and reporting across all jurisdictions.
Leadership Support & Stakeholder Engagement
* Build strong relationships with executive leaders, regional managers, and key stakeholders across the organisation.
* Provide coaching and strategic advice to senior leaders on people management, organisational capability, and leadership effectiveness.
* Support the development of leadership capability across the organisation.
* Champion initiatives that strengthen organisational culture and employee experience across global teams.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* 10–15+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HR leadership roles.
* Extensive experience managing complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and organisational change.
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices across multiple jurisdictions.
* Proven ability to partner with executive leaders and influence strategic business decisions.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgement.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, global environment.
* Professional certification or membership with the Australian HR Institute (e.g., AHRI, CAHRI).
* Experience supporting global or multi-regional workforces.
* Experience working within engineering, consulting, or professional services environments.
* Familiarity with employment legislation across APAC, Europe, or other international markets.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a medical assessment and provide a police clearance.
