We’re looking for an Electrical Fitter Mechanic to permanently join our Customer Service team located in Garbutt, Townsville, with a start date on or after 1 July 2024.

Remuneration:
From $97,006 per annum + 12.75% superannuation
Locality Allowance – up to $1,128 per annum.
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.

About the role:
The Customer Service workgroup perform customer connections, meter installation and upgrades, and shock investigations for residential and business customers on the Ergon network.

Critical to your success in the role:
12. Trade qualification with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
13. Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
14. Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
15. Availability for call out and emergency work.
16. Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
17. Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
Electrical Connections Officer experience is advantageous.
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
