About the Organisation:
Bidgerdii Community Health Services is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled primary health care service, operating in the Rockhampton and wider Central Queensland region for more than 30 years and our vision is for Healthy and Strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, children, families and communities – self – determining, culturally strong, and thriving in their own way. The name 'Bidgerdii' means 'healing plant' – the bark of the plant was used for tobacco, and the leaves for healing sores and rashes.
Bidgerdii provides comprehensive primary healthcare and wellbeing services, collaborates with partner agencies for integrated continuity of care and advocates for health policy and health system reform. Our services include general practice bulk-billing clinics, social and emotional wellbeing and generalist counselling services, chronic disease management, preventative health screening, children and family health and early childhood education services.
About the Role:
BCHS- Rockhampton Children Family Centre are currently seeking a proactive, energetic, and professional Data/Admin Officer. The position is to be filled on a full-time permanent basis for 38 hours per week. The role will be primarily based at our Rockhampton Children and Family Centre – Cnr Bawden and Charles Street, North Rockhampton QLD 4701, but may require travel to other Bidgerdii work sites, as required.

Minimum Requirements of the role:
* The incumbent will possess a Cert 3 in Business Administration or have a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated administrative industry experience
* Sound organisational skills and computer skills are also required, with high attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating a high level of written communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills, including a commitment to quality customer service and the capacity to exercise initiative, discretion, judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
* Demonstrated high-level knowledge and experience using computers, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and an understanding of the concerns affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Practical Requirements:

* Immunisation requirements – It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, COVID19 and pertussis (whooping cough) during their employment.
* Satisfactory Police Criminal History Check.
