Wilmar/Goodman Fielder is currently undergoing a business transformation, with a number of programs requiring significant IT delivery components. As an IT Project Manager, Infrastructure you would join the Sydney head office team based in Macquarie Park, NSW and report to the IT Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead our project teams in delivering exceptional technology solutions across the Wilmar ANZ group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex IT projects, focused on the successful delivery of significant IT projects in accordance with IT PMO processes and governance to scope, quality, budgetary and time targets. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, business acumen, technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‐functional teams.
What You Will Do
* Work in close collaboration with business and operational stakeholders to deliver Infrastructure projects that enable them to achieve key business objectives.
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business and opereational objectives.
* Facilitate the creation of detailed business cases through in depth analysis of requirements to support project initiation and funding approvals.
* Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including comprehensive schedules, financial forecasts and budgets aligned with business and operational goals.
* Monitor project financials, track expenditures, and manage budget variances to ensure projects are delivered within approved financial budgets.
* Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation strategies are in place.
* Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and senior management through regular status reports and presentations.
* Foster a collaborative team environment, providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring to project team members.
* Utilise and comply with our PMO Governance, processes and tools to plan, execute, and control projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
* Participate in post‐implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to continuously improve project delivery and outcomes.
* Mentor and motivate project team members to influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
What You Need
* Minimum of 7‐10 years proven ability to successfully deliver large‐scale projects on time and within budget as a hands‐on project manager.
* Proven track record in delivering large‐scale business and operational transformation projects.
* Proven ability to collaborate closely with business and operational stakeholders to effectively navigate project challenges.
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work in a fast paced environment.
* Sound analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, mental flexibility and active listening which allows individuals to adapt to new environments and master skills with minimal supervision.
* The ability to engage in self‐reflection which leads to a desire to build skills through self‐improvement.
* A proactive, 'can do' attitude, resilient in the face of ambiguity and able to adjust to shifting priorities and rapid change.
* Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, ability to prioritise and multitasking skills.
* Exemplary written, oral and presentation communication stakeholder engagement skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
* Experience with FMCG solutions would be advantageous.
* Experience with sales and distribution systems would be advantageous.
* Experience with SAP financials would be advantageous.
* PMP / PRINCE II certification is highly regarded.
* Agile / Scrum certification is highly regarded.
