This role has been designed as a development pathway to Production Supervisor. You will work closely with the Production Supervisor, gaining hands-on leadership experience and increasing accountability over time.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will work alongside the Production Supervisor to coordinate daily operations and progressively build capability to lead a shift independently.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Support the supervision of a team of 4–12 people, working alongside them to achieve daily production targets.
* Assist in coordinating shift preparation, including labour allocation, materials, packaging, and equipment readiness.
* Support compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards, building capability to independently manage these requirements.
* Reinforce safe work practices and contribute to building a strong WHS culture across the team.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Complete accurate daily production records and use digital tools (iPads, tablets, MS Office).
* Maintain clear communication and promote a positive team culture.
* Step up to lead the shift in the Supervisor's absence when required.

* Participate in performance conversations, toolbox talks, and team development activities.

* Develop capability in planning, reporting, and KPI management.

About You

You will bring:

* Experience in food manufacturing or fresh produce production, with demonstrated leadership capability or 2IC experience.
* 3+ years' experience in a fast-paced production environment, with exposure to team coordination or leadership responsibilities.
* Practical understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
* Strong leadership ability with excellent communication skill
* High attention to detail and a proactive approach
* A genuine desire to grow into a Production Supervisor role.

* Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to take on increasing responsibility.

* Comfortable working on the production floor including standing for an extended periods and occasional manual handling tasks.
