The Opportunity
Join a leading global insurance firm currently undergoing a significant expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. Unlike many contract roles tied to short-term projects, this is a BAU-focused position within our First Line (Line 1) Risk & Technology team.
You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our IT control library, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence during a period of record growth.
Role Type: 12-Month Contract (BAU / Non-Project)
The Role
We are looking for a 'doer'-someone who enjoys getting into the weeds of IT and Cybersecurity controls. This isn't a high-level advisory role; it is a dedicated execution role focused on the practical application of testing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full-Cycle Testing: Execute testing for a broad range of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and Cybersecurity controls.
* Stakeholder Walkthroughs: Lead interview-style meetings to understand processes and gather necessary evidence.
* Critical Analysis: Move beyond 'tick-box' auditing to independently challenge evidence and verify control effectiveness.
* Issue Management: Partner with the business to not only identify gaps but help develop practical remediation plans to fix them.
* Global Collaboration: Liaise with counterparts in the UK and US to ensure alignment with global risk standards.
About You
You are likely a Senior Analyst or Specialist with a strong foundation in IT Audit or Risk. You pride yourself on your attention to detail and your ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
* Experience: Proven track record in Line 1 IT Control Testing within a complex corporate environment (Financial Services or Insurance preferred).
* Pedigree: A background in Big 4 (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) IT Audit or Risk teams is highly regarded.
* Mindset: You prefer practical, hands-on work over theoretical advisory. You are comfortable being 'in the weeds' and managing the end-to-end testing process.
* Communication: Exceptional ability to lead workshops, interview stakeholders, and challenge evidence professionally and effectively.
* Certifications: While CISA, CISM, or ISO27001 are 'nice to have,' we value practical, on-the-ground experience above all else.
