Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure Design & Asset Management, you'll lead the Infrastructure Planning and Asset Management function-guiding a team of technical specialists to deliver asset management, long-term financial modelling and lifecycle decision-making across Council's infrastructure.
You will oversee the development and continuous improvement of Asset Management Plans (including establishing new AMPs across asset classes), contribute to the 10-year Long Term Financial Plan and annual capital works program, and strengthen governance, reporting and change control across the asset lifecycle.
You're a confident, diplomatic leader who enjoys coaching technical specialists and building strong cross-functional relationships. You'll bring a solid foundation in engineering and/or asset management, with demonstrated experience developing AMPs and long-term financial plans, analysing and modelling asset data to identify trends and shape renewal programs, and producing high-quality reports and correspondence for internal and external audiences. You'll also understand civil infrastructure design, construction and maintenance practices, and the financial capitalisation and depreciation requirements that sit behind asset decisions. Familiarity with asset management and engineering systems and data tools will be well regarded.

It is essential that you possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline for engineering and/or asset management along with relevant demonstrated experience. Along with your knowledge of civil design, construction & maintenance practices and financial capitalisation & depreciation requirements across various asset categories, you have demonstrated experience in high level report writing & correspondence along with the ability to analyse and model asset data to identify trends for the creation of asset renewal programs.
