About therole:
Fantasticopportunity for an experienced Occupational Rehabilitationspecialist to work within a friendly, close-knit team ofexperienced occupational rehabilitation specialists to assist ourwork injured employees return to work- no billablehours!
The SeniorReturn to Work Consultant operates in a state-wide InjuryManagement function that provides effective and efficientvocational rehabilitation and injury management consultationservices to injured employees and worksites within a medical/legal,industrial, and public sector environment.
Therole involves:
* Provision of earlyintervention services prior to claim lodgement and managementof all high-risk claims for compensation referred for return towork assistance.
* Development,implementation and evaluation of return-to-work goals,objectives and plans in collaboration with injured employees,treating practitioners and worksite managers that are outcomefocused and process driven and in keeping with the department'sobligations around suitable employment.
* Development andcoordination of return-to-work documentation and placementprocesses, including resume preparation, job matching,canvassing for placements internal and external to thedepartment, attending interviews to determine successful workplacements.
* Provision of expertadvice, consultation, and assistance to departmental personnelin rehabilitation standards, obligations, legislativerequirements, injury management principles and processesthrough formal and informal information, advice, andtraining
Aboutyou:
* Return towork planning: Experienced in coordinating andmanaging vocational rehabilitation cases
* Communicationskills: Strong verbal and written communicationabilities to build confidence with clients, managers, andprofessionals
* Earlyintervention: Knowledge of injury risk assessment andcommitment to early intervention practices
* Taskmanagement: Proven ability to manage large caseloadsand handle confidential, complex employment matters
* Conflictmanagement: Experience in conflict resolutionprocesses
* Stakeholderrelationships: Ability to establish and maintaineffective internal and external partnerships
* Technicalexpertise: Knowledge of Fair Work Act, industrialrelations practices, and public sector policies
Qualifications:
Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification in health, psychology, behaviouralscience, allied health and/ or significant levels of disciplineknowledge in workers compensation legislation and demonstratedexperience in the application of vocational rehabilitationtheory.
Desirable: Relevant Post Graduate qualifications or Membership or Registrationwith Professional Bodies.
Specialconditions:
Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC(Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care)Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online(Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated everythree years.

Remuneration:
ASO6$98,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) andleave loading
