The Role

Provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable the Gynaecology Oncology department of the Royal Hospital for Women to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.
The Administration Officer is responsible for the provision of reception and clerical services for the Menopause Service which includes: clinic administration, patient enquiries, billing processes, secretarial support for key clinicians and assisting with the development and improvement of the service.

Selection Criteria
* Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks, monitoring and determining work priorities to enable adjustments to workflow as required
* Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
* Experience of responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment
* High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated initiative and ability to problem solve and prioritise in a customer service environment
* Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures
* Experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Outlook, Excel and other systems including IPM (Information Patient Manager), Electronic Medical Records (eMR) Scheduler and PowerBilling and Revenue Collection (PBRC) and the ability to learn other relevant clinical information systems
* Previous experience in an administrative or customer focused role
