Emergency Medicine Registrar
Employment Type: Fixed‐Term (1 year). Hours: Day/Night/Weekend shift (43 hours per week). Salary: from Registrar Year 1 (HM25 - $2421.17 per week) to Registrar Year 6 (HM 30 - $3332.50 per week). Location: Werribee Mercy Hospital.

Responsibilities
We are looking for positive, enthusiastic, team‐oriented Emergency Medicine Registrars to join our department. The role has the responsibility for assessing and managing patients presenting to the emergency department including assisting more junior medical staff in managing their patients.
Training Opportunities
Training opportunities include: 24‐month ACEM advanced training, completion of Emergency Medicine Certificate and Diploma, 3‐month ACEM Anaesthetic rotation, 6‐month ACEM ICU rotation, paediatric log book accreditation and 2 Paediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians on staff.
Employment Details
Our ED sees approximately 55,000 patients per year with a 5% growth rate, including 20‐25% paediatrics. The new emergency department building will open later this year, expanding capacity to treat an extra 25,000 patients each year.
Qualifications
Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* High standards of practice with a strong commitment to consumer and carer focused service.
* Ability to work flexibly within the Public Emergency Health Services system.
* Prior experience working in the Public Emergency Health Services system will be of benefit.
