ASSOCIATE NURSE UNIT MANAGER - HARBOURSIDE LODGE
Fixed Term Part Time – 72 hours per fortnight
Available from 5th January **** to 19th July ****
An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join the Harbourside Lodge team at Portland District Health.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to provide clinical leadership to all team members to ensure that person centred care is planned, implemented, evaluated and maintained at a high standard. The ANUM acts as a professional and clinical role model for all team members and demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge and skills while assuming a management focus in the department. The ANUM is an integral member of the department's management and leadership team. Roster will include shift work, night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
About you
Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency – essential
Membership of an appropriate professional association - desirable
Clinical knowledge, skills and leadership experience in Residential Aged Care
Demonstrated understanding of Aged Care Standards and Accreditation requirements
Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) and strong financial management skills
A level of nursing skills which is easily identified as a role model of clinical competence
Demonstrated team leadership ability and ability to support staff through internal and external change

A 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment
Residential aged care for 30 residents at Harbourside Lodge

PDH delivers services from a single campus, employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290, and has an active volunteer workforce. The People and Culture Unit sits within the Corporate Services Directorate, with other Units including Finance, Building Services, Food Services, Environmental Services, Executive Support, Administration and Health Information.
