The Client Frontier Advisors Pty Ltd is an investment company in the City of Melbourne and has been at the forefront of delivering investment advice and technology to institutional investors for almost thirty years. They seek an experienced Actuary to join their team. The Role The annual salary is set between $90,000 to $100,000, depending on experience plus superannuation. Responsibilities Analysing complex financial challenges and developing innovative policy frameworks with risk evaluation and investment analysis across insurance, superannuation, pensions, and related financial sectors Providing high quality and timely investment advisory support to clients Reviewing and assessing financial forecasts for general insurers, financial institutions, government bodies, and other entities Collaborating with management and clients to identify the specific topic or area for review or investigation Determining the types of data required and selecting the appropriate methods for its collection and analysis Developing and refining actuarial models using experimental data in R and Python to keep insurance and asset market data current on the technology platform Applying quantitative analysis techniques to client data to design algorithms and generate meaningful statistics that reveal and interpret key trends and patterns Applying actuarial expertise to conduct cash flow analysis and scenario testing as required Requirements Minimum three years of relevant experience is required Minimum Bachelors or higher qualification with specialization in Economics. A strong understanding of actuarial principles, standards, processes and operations Ability to conduct research and analyse complex data to inform internal reports and senior management briefings Strong technical skills and the ability to develop logical solutions to new problems Adaptable and flexible attitude to cope with competing priorities whilst working to tight timeframes. Self-motivated individual with a desire to achieve continuous improvement. Ability to provide expert investment advice support to insurers and government agencies on asset allocation and manager selection within regulatory guidelines
