Job Summary
The Solicitor in the Child Protection Litigation Office is responsible for providing legal advice and support to child protection practitioners, and appears in person in child protection litigation matters in the Children's Court of Victoria and associated jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Provide well-reasoned legal advice, briefings and correspondence.
* Collaborate with departmental colleagues to deliver client-focused legal services.
* Apear or instruct in litigation involving the department in a wide range of courts and tribunals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Professional experience as a solicitor, preferably in child protection litigation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
