About the opportunity
As a Junior Sales Engineer in our company, you'll play a pivotal role in our growth strategy, and benefit as a result. Working in our Sydney office you'll leverage your technical know-how and sales acumen to:
* Engage with, and sell to new customers in a number of regions in ANZ - proudly and confidently competing for their business
* Build and nurture positive, trusted relationships with our existing customers and clients
* Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our market presence and achieve sales targets
* Leverage your technical expertise to understand client needs and propose tailored machine vision components and solutions, in collaboration with our technical team, who will support you all the way
* Act as a key liaison between customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and satisfaction
* Analyse market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to identify growth opportunities
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences and trade shows to showcase our solutions and network effectively
Here's what we're looking for in our next Sales Engineer:
To thrive in this role, you'll:
* Have an engineering background (ideally electronic or mechatronic), likely with a degree or equivalent practical experience
* Be an early-career engineer (2-5 years experience), ideally with exposure to sales either through part-time casual work, internships, or customer-facing roles.
* Be genuinely passionate about, and skilled in, business development and client relationships - especially exploring and converting new opportunities
* Demonstrate some experience in sales of some sort.
* Be technically-minded and proficient in electronics, computing and software. You'll be backed by a team of technical support engineers, but you will need a mind that embraces complex, technical problems and solutions
* Be energised in proactively engaging people and the market, including some ANZ travel
