Victoria Street Boutique Hotel and Events is a recently opened 21 room boutique hotel on a one acre precinct overlooking the ocean with a State Heritage building events space included. We host local staycations, regional regulars, corporate travellers, international guests and VIP delegations. We showcase the North Queensland region and pride ourselves on curating events and stays that are unique and unforgettable.
What you'll do
Guest Experience/Concierge
* Deliver personalised high end guest experiences
* Anticipate needs and create 'surprise and delight' moments
* Manage VIP guests with confidence and discretion
Events
* Plan and execute boutique events (corporate, private, bespoke)
* Coordinate suppliers, timelines and logistics
* Lead event delivery on the ground
Operations and Executive Support
* Support leadership with scheduling, communications and coordination
* Keep the business organised, efficient and on track
* Prepare proposals and client communications
* Product development
To bring our product to the region we need someone with the following capabilities:
* Proven leadership. A track record of successful leadership or management roles in the hospitality/tourism industry.
* People Skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that brighten any guest or team members day.
* Service Commitment. A steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional guest service experiences.
* Local Savvy. Knowledge of Townsville's vibrant attractions, dining gems and cultural treasures.
* Organisational Prowess. Stellar organisational and multitasking abilities that keep everything running smoothly.
* Flexibility. A willingness to embrace flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Guest-Facing Experience. Previous experience in guest facing roles.
Helpful Existing Accreditations:
* RSA/RMLV
* Approved Manager Card
* Food Safety Supervisor
* Manual and Automatic Car Licence
* Blue Card
* Bachelor of Event Management/Hospitality/Tourism
Whilst having this experience listed is a benefit and we are certainly ready for this magical unicorn to emerge for our team... tourism and hospitality can often be more about savvy and out of the box ideas so if you have the personality, we can support to building your skills.
