Overview
Program Coordinator - Technologies and the Arts– Department of Education, Western Australia
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026.
Cannington Community College (CC) is located in the heart of Cannington's business precinct and caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 10.
The College focuses on numeracy and literacy while supporting diverse needs and aims to foster high-quality teaching and a positive learning environment.
The Role
Cannington CC is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and student-centred Program Coordinator (PC) – Technologies & The Arts to join its leadership team.
In this role you will drive high-quality teaching and support the wellbeing and professional growth of students and staff.
You will lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Design and Technologies, Digital Technologies, and The Arts programs, with a focus on increasing student engagement and improving academic outcomes.
You will champion excellence in teaching and learning, promote collaboration, and model best practice in teaching.
You will use data to inform instruction, integrate technology to enhance learning and communication, and lead performance development processes to ensure consistency across Technologies and Arts and a culture of continuous improvement.
You will work closely with staff, students, and the wider school community to achieve positive outcomes for all learners.
The role also involves developing team capability and upholding high standards across the College, with the capacity to influence whole-school teaching practices and contribute to a culture of excellence.
Note: The ability to teach Digital Technologies, Media Arts, and Graphic Design is essential.
Experience in delivering and leading programs across a range of Technologies and Arts contexts will be an advantage.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must meet the following requirements:
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start, and
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
