Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor
As a seasoned risk management professional, you will be responsible for:
* Contributing to construction risk assessment workshops to ensure seamless project execution.
* Delivering the health and safety audit and assurance plan to guarantee compliance and quality standards.
* Performing health and safety assurance activities in the field, including audits, inspections, and operator competency reviews, to identify areas for improvement.
* Reviewing construction work planning to verify that methods and controls are being implemented as planned, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Spearheading the health and safety of our construction subcontractors through facilitating kick-off meetings, assurance activities, communications, and performance monitoring.
* Identifying innovative solutions to enhance health and safety performance and mitigate risks, driving continuous improvement.
* Maintaining and ensuring the integrity of a project health and safety risk data library to inform future planning and risk assessments.
* Contributing to the ongoing development of the project's management plan and project management system documentation, fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Health and safety qualifications and certifications.
* Experience with construction risks and risk management techniques.
* Auditing experience, preferably as a Lead Auditor.
* Background in managing subcontractors and teams within a Tier 1 or 2 organization.
* Data analysis and interpretation skills, with proficiency in technology and digital systems.
* Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
