About the role:
ETS is seeking a Mid‐Level Business Analyst to support technology‐enabled improvement initiatives across our operations. This role is a key contributor to the delivery of ETS Infrastructure Management's 5‐year IT strategy, supporting initiatives that modernise systems, improve data quality, strengthen platform integration, and enable more efficient, technology‐driven ways of working across the business. In this role, you'll work across the full delivery lifecycle - from discovery and analysis through to testing, training, and post‐implementation improvement. You'll be trusted to operate autonomously, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
You'll be supported by a Senior Business Analyst and work closely with delivery teams, technical specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit‐for‐purpose and deliver measurable value.
This role will typically involve:
* Leading discovery workshops and engaging stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
* Translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and solution designs.
* Analysing end‐to‐end processes, data flows, and system interactions.
* Identifying risks, assumptions, dependencies, and supporting prioritisation and trade‐off decisions.
* Defining acceptance criteria and supporting testing, UAT, and solution adoption.
* Assessing change impacts and supporting training, continuous improvement, and data quality outcomes.

Skills & Experience:
We're looking for a Business Analyst who combines strong analytical thinking with a genuine desire to hit the ground running and improve how work gets done for their colleagues.
You'll have:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst working across multiple initiatives or projects.
* Strong requirements analysis and documentation skills, including process modelling and functional specifications.
* Experience supporting solution design, testing, and business change activities.
* Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and facilitating workshops.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience working within complex operational or multi‐stakeholder environments.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in infrastructure, utilities, or operational environments.
* Exposure to data, reporting, or analytics‐enabled solutions.
* Experience working in hybrid or Agile delivery environments.
* A relevant qualification in Business, Information Systems, IT, or equivalent experience.
