1. POSITION: CABINET MAKER - FULL TIME Salary: $33 - $38 per hour About the Role: A cabinet maker is a skilled craftsman who specializes in designing, constructing, and installing custom cabinetry and wood furniture.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and precision to create high-quality wooden fixtures that meet the specific needs and aesthetic preferences of clients.
Job Responsibilities: Fabricating, assembling, repairing, and installing kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, wardrobes, counters and other fittings from wood and laminates.
Build wooden cabinets and furniture pieces from raw materials, including cutting, shaping, and assembling components according to design plans and measurements.
Select appropriate wood materials and hardware for each project, considering factors such as durability, appearance, and cost.
Use woodworking tools and machinery such as saws, routers, drills, sanders, and planers safely and effectively to perform cutting, shaping, and finishing tasks.
Employ various joinery techniques such as mortise and tenon, dovetail, and dowel joints to securely connect wood pieces and ensure structural integrity.
Apply stains, paints, varnishes, or other finishes to wooden surfaces to enhance appearance and protect against damage.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making any necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project plans to understand design requirements and dimensions.
Work closely with designers, carpenters, and other team members to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless execution.
Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
Maintain accurate records of materials used, time spent, and project progress for billing, inventory, and reference purposes.
Skills and Experience: Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge of woodworking techniques and joinery methods.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with CAD software for designing custom pieces.
High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure all pieces are crafted and assembled accurately.
Ability to detect and correct imperfections in the materials or construction process.

2. POSITION: CARPENTER - FULL TIME Salary: $33 - $38 per hour About the Role: The Formwork Carpenter plays a critical role in the construction process by creating the molds that shape concrete structures.
This position requires a skilled craftsman with experience in building and dismantling formwork, ensuring the precise dimensions and structural integrity of the final concrete products.
The Formwork Carpenter works closely with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and to specification.
Job Responsibilities: Build, install, and dismantle formwork structures, including walls, columns, beams, and slabs, using wood, metal, or other materials.
Measure, cut, and assemble formwork according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare formwork for concrete pours by ensuring it is properly aligned and secured.
Assist with the pouring and leveling of concrete into formwork, ensuring it meets specified dimensions and finishes.
Inspect and repair formwork structures to ensure they are safe, stable, and capable of withstanding the pressures of poured concrete.
Check completed formwork for accuracy and conformance to design specifications.
Operate hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and hammers, safely and efficiently.
Maintain and store tools and equipment in good working condition.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Experience with various formwork systems, such as timber, metal, and prefabricated formwork.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Skilled in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials accurately to build formwork structures.
Good physical condition to handle the demands of formwork carpentry, including lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working at heights.
Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise carpentry tasks.

3. POSITION: BUILDING AND PLUMPING LABOURERS - FULL TIME Salary: $31.5 - $36 per hour About the Role: Building and Plumbing Labourers support qualified tradespeople by performing a wide range of routine and manual tasks on construction sites, maintenance projects, and civil works.
The role involves assisting with the construction, repair and maintenance of buildings, structures, stormwater systems, drainage networks and plumbing installations.
This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team across various job sites.
Job Responsibilities: Assist qualified tradespersons by supporting the installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fittings, toilets, basins and irrigation fixtures.
Carry out routine drainage and stormwater maintenance activities such as clearing debris, cleaning drains, and checking systems for leaks, blockages or structural issues.
Perform excavation and site preparation tasks by digging trenches, levelling ground, clearing work areas and moving excavated materials as required.
Safely load, unload and transport construction materials, tools and equipment to designated areas on job sites.
Assemble and take down temporary site structures, such as scaffolding, barriers, and safety fencing, following site safety procedures.
Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete, mortar and plaster to support construction and repair works.
Assist with assembling building components and carry out basic demolition or removal tasks under the direction of senior tradespersons.
Maintain clean, organised and hazard-free work areas, following all safety instructions and adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
Skills and Experience: Experience working on construction, civil, plumbing or maintenance sites (preferred but not essential).
Ability to follow instructions and work safely alongside qualified tradespeople.
Basic understanding of construction or plumbing tools, equipment and materials.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in outdoor environments.
Strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a team and maintain safe work practices at all times.
White Card (Construction Induction Training) – required.
A valid driver's licence – preferred.

POSITION: GLAZIER - FULL TIME Salary: $31.5 - $33 per hour Job Responsibilities: Interpret drawings and plans or measure the space to determine the amount of glass required Lay sheets of glass onto glass cutting tables and score (mark) the surface of the glass using a variety of glasscutters Remove excess glass with notched tools or glass pliers Cut, drill and notch holes in glass with diamond-tipped cutters and drills Remove broken glass and mirrors and prepare surfaces for reglazing Smooth and polish edges on a grinding or bevelling wheel Fit the glass using putty, chemical compounds or rubber strips into timber, steel and aluminium frames Assemble and secure parts of pre-made glass units, such as shop fittings, display cases and shower enclosures Install metal window and door frames into which glass panels are fitted, such as for shower screens and sliding doors Fabricate aluminium for domestic and commercial applications, and fit and install on site Manufacture security screens and doors Inscribe decorative edges on glass and mirrors Create drawings using computer-aided design systems Read diagrams, drawings or specifications to determine job requirements.
