Job Description:
This role is focused on improving health outcomes for young people aged 12-25 years affected by mental health and/or alcohol and other drugs.
The successful candidate will work in a client-centered approach, delivering sensitive, accessible, and quality services to meet the needs of this vulnerable population.
The Emphasis Is On:
* Encouraging help-seeking behavior by young people, their friends, and families.
* Responding and providing early intervention services utilizing evidence-based practice to provide an integrated model of care for young people at risk of poor mental health and related issues.
* Increasing the community's capacity to identify young people as early as possible who may be at risk of mental health crisis, related issues, and substance use.
* Ensuring the key components of a young person's social recovery, including links to education, training, and employment, are central to the care provided.
* A significant increase in the number of young people that are identified and responded to with evidenced-based interventions, at a much earlier stage to reduce the number of young people reaching crisis stage.
