Transport Operations & Logistics, TradesLocation: Narngulu (Geraldton)Remuneration/Benefits: Excellent remuneration on offer in accordance with our Enterprise AgreementOngoing trainingGrowth opportunitiesExcellent opportunity to join Australia’s Largest Freight Rail OperatorAbout the role:In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure are repaired and maintained to the required standard of safety and reliability to ensure the efficient running of freight services.Conduct routine and corrective maintenance and fault repair in accordance with prescribed methods and best practicesEnsure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements, legislative policies, and technical and operational specificationsMaintain records and documentation related to asset condition, maintenance programs, and costsReport actual work performed against the scheduled work programImplement and improve work procedures and practices to ensure quality enhancementAbout you:Electrical licence (mandatory)Locomotive and wagon experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be providedExcellent interpersonal communication skillsExperience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock is highly regardedStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawingsKnowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and instructions, including the Workplace Health and Safety ActSuccessful candidates will be required to undergo a category one rail medical, including drug and alcohol screening.What we offer you:At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
