This Site Manager role is based at our Channel Zone site and will involve being a key leader for our operations and crew. You will be working across areas of fish performance and welfare, safety, environment, community, and the effective management of production costs in a positive and proactive manner.

Duties include:

· Embed a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation to ensure the Zone delivers optimal product for the business;

· Lead, develop, implement, manage and support people strategies that drive and embed an interdependent accountable culture of excellence;

· Provide strong focused leadership, ensuring 100% clarity of purpose, direction and expected outcomes for all crew members;

· Engage with other marine zone operational teams to clearly understand both positive and negative impacts to individual business unit performance and implement winning ideas and strategies when uncovered;

· Implement and continually improve upon our Zero Harm platform to ensure Tassal meets global best practice from smolt to harvest;

· Manage and support the focus on long term sustainable farming practices within our marine leases, zones, and support services to minimise environmental impacts in line with expected organisational standards and legislative requirements;

· Ensure that stocks are managed to optimise financial return and value optimisation;

· Plan, support, and initiate fish transfers and bathing operations; and

· Ensure compliance to all procedures, policies and certification expectations.

About you

To be successful in this position, your key strengths will be in developing and managing relationships, partnering with relevant internal and external stakeholders, building and growing community partnerships, and creating an environment where the team feels safe, respected, motivated, and heard.

In addition to the above, you will be able to demonstrate:

· Previous experience and demonstrated success in an operational role in the Aquaculture field;

· Strong background in leadership and people management with the clear ability to effectively lead a team of people;

· Excellent communication and written skills;

· Strong computer skills to engage with BI functions and support key decision making processes;

· An understanding of financial and functional operations with a focus on cost control initiatives; and

· Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
