Position Overview: The Trades Assistant will support the Site Supervisor and other tradespeople on our construction sites. This role involves various tasks to assist in completing construction projects, requiring a proactive individual willing to learn and have a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist tradespeople with various tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
* Prepare and clean up construction sites by removing debris, loading and unloading materials, and setting up equipment.
* Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
* Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor and other senior staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
* Perform general labour duties as required, including digging, lifting, and moving materials.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
* Report any issues or hazards to the Site Supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a construction or labourer role is preferred but not required.
* Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
* Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour.
* Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
* Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
Skills Required:
* Basic carpentry skills.

* 11084NAT Asbestos Awareness.
* Ability to operate hand and power tools.
* High-risk licenses, including Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Forklift, and Heavy Vehicle, are advantageous but not mandatory.
