Our

**forward-thinking** client with over four decades of experience building high-quality aluminium boats is actively looking for their next Operations Manager. This business is a trusted partner to both the Australian Federal and State Governments as well as major commercial operators, this opportunity has been created due to the client being in a highly exciting growth phase.
**The Role**
This role is in
**the beautiful regional** far north coast of N.S.W. The Operations Manager will be reporting to the site General Manager, this autonomous leadership role will see you support the GM and drive business performance across the business unit.
- Develop the business strategy in close liaison with senior executives.
- Implement the strategy - early capture management, pipeline development, proposals and delivery of the required personnel, process and execution of all agreed elements.
- Build and maintain Key client and other key stakeholder relations. Always looking to develop and lead strategic level interactions with core customers whilst finding target customers.
- Negotiate and drive opportunities for additional revenue streams within the operation.
- Ensure all business processes, quality systems, resourcing and management practices are effective, and achieve the agreed objectives (KPIs).
- Ensure all personnel fulfill their responsibilities and accountabilities in accordance with the schedule, budget and technical requirements.
- In conjunction with the GM, correct projects that may have deviated from the planned performance. E.g. areas such as safety, scope, finance, schedule, risk, compliance, customer satisfaction or quality.

What you will need to bring to this role:
- Have a strong background within the engineering and manufacturing space. Experience within shipbuilding would be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes in a commercial and/or defence environment.
- Competent in business development and organisational delivery within the maritime sector.
- Proven experience leading and managing a manufacturing business of similar scale and complexity.
- Ability to monitor and manage the delivery of multiple delivery activities and projects of varying complexity and size, including risk and commercial aspects.
- Experience developing, mentoring and managing multi-disciplinary teams within a design and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to prepare high-quality, business and technical reports for internal and external audiences.
