About the role
Holcim is currently looking for an afternoon shift Quarry Worker with a mechanical background for our quarry located at Albion Park, NSW, with a requirement to provide additional operational support to other plants in the region.
This role involves a mix of mechanical maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and site-wide support. Here is your opportunity to step into a role where you can grow & develop with the world's leading sustainable building materials company. Roles in Crushing Plants are fast-paced and will require you to be a strong problem solver, process-driven, with a high level of attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy operational environment.
You would normally start work around 02:00pm am and there would be a requirement to work some Saturdays (as needed).
Duties and responsibilities:
* Promoting and enforcing safety and environmental processes and protocols to meet performance outcomes.
* Mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair quarry assets.
* Assisting the production team with site-wide maintenance tasks.
* Yard maintenance and operation of mobile plant equipment where required.
* Basic administration and logging of maintenance tasks on a variety of computer software applications (training provided).
Requirements:
* Essential: You must hold a valid driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle to travel to other plants in the region as required.
* Ideally, it would be great if you had prior knowledge around processing plants but not critical.
* We are more than happy to train and facilitate you obtaining additional qualifications.
