About The Role As a Trainee Optical Dispenser, you will be responsible for providing clinical, sales, and customer service assistance in all aspects of eye care.
The role involves on-the-job training under supervision to develop the skills required of an Optical Dispenser.
You will work closely with Optometrists and experienced Dispensers, assisting patients with frame selection, interpreting prescriptions, providing excellent customer service, and handling general practice administration to ensure the best patient experience.
This role is ideal if you are passionate about eyewear fashion and enjoy working with people in a busy environment.
This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Bondi Junction Eyecare Centre, with work at other centres as needed.
You will work an 11-day fortnight.
The Eyecare Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities Interpret optical prescriptions Provide personalized fashion and practical advice for frame and lens selection Manage patient care Assist on reception when required Keep patient records up to date Study part-time at TAFE while training About You You should have a passion for helping others and a willingness to learn.
A strong work ethic and the ability to build rapport with customers are essential.
You will have:
