Violence prevention specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Case Manager to provide specialist family violence support and holistic case management to women and children experiencing or escaping family violence.

The successful candidate will provide collaborative and culturally safe support, conducting risk assessments and working closely with a range of services and stakeholders to help women and children reach their goals and maximize safety.

* The Case Manager will work in partnership with the Family Support Worker to deliver client-led safety and case plan goals, providing culturally safe and supportive planning across areas including safety, independence, well-being, housing, social inclusion, and employment.

* A strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and values is essential, as is experience in case management and knowledge of the Family and Domestic Violence frameworks and best practice.

* An appropriate qualification in Human Services or equivalent level of study and experience is required, including Aboriginal people with lived and professional experience.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others and exercise influence in diverse contexts.
