Working for this health services organisation as an Enterprise Architect you will be responsible for ensuring the shared technical service has a structured plan to develop and implement current, transitional and future architecture for the organisation.
Your brand-new role will see you work closely with Technology teams and Application Managers, IT architects and teams across the organisation, and internal and external stakeholders and vendors to ensure the shared service has a 'fit for purpose' technology environment that supports the delivery of high performing, resilient, scalable and cost-effective services.
Key accountabilities
1. Pro-actively build and maintain a good working relationship with the shared service IT Teams to align solutions with local requirements and IT strategic directions where possible
2. Establish and maintain close communication with partner suppliers and vendors, including vendors of in-scope third party application systems
3. Participate as a key contributor to in the development of IT strategy
4. Establish and maintain a strategic roadmap, including transition, for all service areas of the technical stack, including Network and Security, Platform, Disaster Recovery and Data Resilience, Data and Database, Integrations, Client and Portal Access
5. Prepare and/or contribute to business cases for major IT solution elements, examining options and recommending solutions considering infrastructure, licensing, integration, and support structures
6. Ensure all solutions when delivered will meet the needs of the end users, required service levels, efficient system operation and support, as well a cost-effective ownership
7. Identify service and data risks and issues then develop and communicate strategies/mitigation activities to reduce/eliminate identified risks and issues
Skills and experience
8. Minimum 8+ years in IT Technical Architect, preferably within health, government or similar industries
9. Demonstrated experience as an Enterprise Architect in a large, complex 24x7 environment, and Application architecture standards and frameworks
10. Detailed knowledge of Enterprise Architecture principals and best practices
11. Experience and Certification in Cloud hosting services and migration methodologies
12. Demonstrated implementation of application / integration architecture principles / standards and in producing high quality solutions
13. Ability to clearly define, articulate and document strategy, processes, and procedures
14. Exceptional business engagement skills and proven ability to recruit consensus to solutions
15. Ability to provide multiple technical solutions to business problems, presented in business language
16. Experience in developing and maintaining enterprise architectures and technology roadmaps
17. Formal qualification in Enterprise Architecture TOGAF) highly regarded
