About the role
Seeking an all-rounder with good communication skills to cover all aspects of the dental surgery including assisting and reception.
We are a small surgery and essentially we run 1 dental chair full time with the 2nd chair just used as a back up for scanning.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care.
We are considering either 4 days with extended hours, possibly moving on to 5 days in the future.
No weekend work.
Hourly rate will be negotiable for the right person.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, mixing materials, and maintaining a sterile work area
* Greeting and welcoming patients, helping them feel at ease, and ensuring a positive patient experience
* Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments according to strict infection control protocols
* Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient inquiries and concerns on the phone, or returning their calls to make bookings.
What we're looking for
* Dental assisting experience and good references
* Minimum of 3+ years of dental assisting experience required
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic approach to patient care
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
* A genuine passion for the dental industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
