Management Accountant - With Fixed Assets (Experience - Contract / Temp)

We are partnering with a leading organisation within the automotive and manufacturing sector to recruit an experienced Management Accountant with strong Fixed Assets expertise for a temporary assignment. This role will sit within a high-performing finance team and play a key part in maintaining asset integrity, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across a large and complex asset base.
The Role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of fixed assets, supporting month-end close and ensuring accurate reporting of depreciation, capital additions, and asset movements across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
* End-to-end fixed asset accounting across a large asset register
* Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register
* Monthly depreciation calculations and journals
* Tracking capital additions, disposals, and transfers
* Reconciliations between fixed asset sub-ledger and general ledger
* Supporting month-end close and reporting deadlines
* Assisting with audit queries and documentation
* Ensuring accuracy of asset lives, classifications, and net book values
* Supporting process improvements within asset accounting
About You
You are a hands‐on accountant with fixed asset experience and the ability to work in a fast‐paced environment.
You will bring:
* Solid experience in fixed asset accounting (essential)
* Background in manufacturing, automotive, or asset-heavy industries preferred
* Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
* Experience managing depreciation and large asset registers
* Ability to work independently and meet tight month-end deadlines
* Strong reconciliation and problem‐solving skills
