Administrative Support Specialist
Downer is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Launceston, Tasmania. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to the Asphalt & Products operational line of businesses, ensuring the smooth execution of transactional and contract management processes.
* Support office operations, coordinate meetings, manage travel and accommodation, cover reception and oversee staff onboarding/offboarding.
* Accurately input financial and operational data into the ERP system, including invoicing, procurement, inventory, and month-end activities.
* Process transactions correctly, manage accounts payable, and ensure job costing data is entered and maintained accurately.
* Ensure timely and accurate billing, cost allocation, purchase orders, and supplier/subcontractor payments.
* Deliver data integrity, support financial performance reviews, and meet month-end deadlines.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in an administration role.
* Proficient in core administrative competencies, including spreadsheeting and document writing/formatting (intermediate use of Microsoft Office applications).
* High level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation. Thoroughness in completing tasks and following up as required.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, building strong relationships at all levels.
