Job Summary
The role of a Helicopter/Tiltrotor Aircraft Maintenance specialist is pivotal in ensuring the technical soundness of our helicopters. The position involves performing preventive maintenance on helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft, operational rotor checks, and testing for electrical and hydraulic systems.
This includes maintaining and repairing helicopter systems, including rotors, transmissions, landing gear, fuel, hydraulics, and electrical.
Facilitating launch and recovery, helicopter disassembly/reassembly, and other aspects of movement and storage operations are also key responsibilities.
Aircraft systems must be adjusted, calibrated, and aligned to ensure optimal performance.
Aircrews rely on the readiness of the aircraft, and as a maintenance specialist, you will prepare them for movement to and from different locations.
* Maintain helicopter systems, including rotors, transmissions, landing gear, fuel, hydraulics, and electrical.
* Perform operational rotor checks and testing for electrical and hydraulic systems.
To succeed in this role, you must have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
* High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of related vocational courses desirable.
* Eligibility for top-secret security clearance.
* Completion of 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at JB San Antonio-Lackland, TX, followed by Technical Training.
