School Officer – Department of Education, Western Australia
We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies that may arise during Term 1 and Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

TOM PRICE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SHS) is located in the Pilbara and is dedicated to empowering students to achieve their full potential in a supportive and welcoming learning environment.
Role Overview
As a School Officer you will be accountable for the day‑to‑day running of the front office, handling front desk inquiries and collaborating with all staff on daily operations. You will support the Manager Corporate Services with the school's financial position and implement operational processes in compliance with legislation and departmental policies.
Key Duties
* Maintain the front desk and manage inquiries with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
* Assist in financial processes, including debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and preparing financial returns.
* Support school enrolment, transfers between schools and local intake areas, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
* Use the Schools Information System (SIS) Administration, RM Billing, HRMIS and MS Office suite to support staff and students.
* Provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with the administration team, support staff and teaching staff.
* Maintain operational procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in administrative support and customer‑service delivery.
* Experience with financial processes and procedures.
* Proficient use of computers and a range of application software, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
* Ability to organize and prioritise tasks effectively, working independently or as part of a team.
Eligibility
* Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment.
* Valid Working With Children Check before commencing.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and hold a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit.
