The Opportunity
HealthShare NSW is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Orthotist to join the Enable NSW team in the Albury Prosthetics & Orthotics Service (APOS). The position reports directly to the Manager of Albury Prosthetics & Orthotics Service.
The Senior Orthotist is responsible for the clinical assessment and provision of orthotic services to inpatient, outpatient and community clients as well as the clinical oversight of junior and technical staff. The Orthotist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the overall planning and implementation of services for orthotic clients.
The preferred candidate will feel comfortable collaborating with a range of health professionals across Local Health Districts and other Government and Non-Government organisations.
APOS is located in Lavington alongside the Southwest Brain Injury Service, and provides care to a range of Prosthetic and Orthotic patients of all ages. Specialising in rehabilitation, the service works in collaboration with internal/external referrers and multi-disciplinary allied health teams including high-risk foot clinics, tone and function clinics, operating theatres as well as physiotherapy and orthopaedics. The APOS team, consisting of 10 clinical, 3 technical and 2 admin support positions, cares deeply about the positive patient care-experience. The team is passionate about assisting our clients, and their families, to achieve desired life goals and 'Keep them moving through life'.
APOS is a registered NDIS provider and, as a service on a border town, APOS works with multiple funding agencies in both NSW and Victoria.
