Overview
We are seeking a full time Assistant Director to join our team at Green Point Early Learning Centre. You will have the opportunity to grow your leadership potential with support from the leadership team at the centre. You will also have the opportunity to regularly network with Leaders from Discovery across the state as you participate in regular meetings. As the Assistant Director you will predominantly work supporting the centre and creating a sense of community and belonging.
Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of high-quality early learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQS)
- Inspire, motivate, and lead a passionate team of educators through strong, values-driven leadership
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support the wellbeing, learning, and safety of every child in your care
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team – desirable
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration – or willingness to obtain
- A strong alignment with early learning values, ethics, and high-quality pedagogy
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and foster positive relationships with staff, families, and the wider community
- Regular availability and flexibility to work a range of shifts during our opening hours
