Overview
The Assistant Site Manager is responsible for supporting the Site Manager to ensure the effective and competent delivery of employment services at all times consistent with funding requirements and Code of Conduct. This position will be located at our Geraldton site and is offered on a full-time ongoing basis. The role includes career progression opportunities to advance to a Site Manager role, and training and support for your next career steps. The role offers a 9-day fortnight with a dedicated fixed day off every second week, and remuneration remains that of a full-time employee with salary packaging options.
About You
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate:
* Ability to support and mentor the Site team to deliver Employment Services
* Experience meeting budgetary performance, placement and outcome targets, and other required targets
* Ability to support a Site team to deliver Employment Services with a strong customer service focus in a compliant manner
* Ability to engage, motivate and train staff to hold them to account for performance and behaviours
* Ability to provide technical support to the Site team and fill in for staff as required
* High-level and operational pre-employment activity at site (employer engagement, vacancy generation, internships and other work experience arrangements, facilitating job clubs and workshops to drive placements)
* Ability to work with diverse clients in a culturally appropriate manner, understanding disadvantage and disability
* Willingness to work with the National Administration Centre to maximise outcomes and manage overs
* Ability to act up as Site Manager when the Site Manager is unavailable (including other sites within the state)
* Data entry skills, typing speed of at least 30 words per minute, and proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel
* Ability to read complex administrative procedures and reports
Responsibilities
* Support and mentor the Site team to deliver Employment Services

* Provide coaching to staff on performance and behaviours
* Provide technical support and cover for staff as needed
* Lead and participate in pre-employment activities at site (employer engagement, vacancy generation, internships, work experience, job clubs and workshops)
* Engage with diverse clients in a culturally appropriate manner
* Collaborate with the National Administration Centre to maximise outcomes
* Act up to Site Manager when required
* Maintain data entry accuracy and use of key software
Requirements
* Hold a current unrestricted driver's license
* Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services or Employment Services or related qualification
* At least two years' experience in Employment Services or related field
* Understanding of the local labour market and employer needs
