Active Built is now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to step into an established leadership role and support ongoing project delivery across the business.
The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all construction operations across multiple projects, including commercial, industrial and residential builds.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll manage Project Managers and site teams while maintaining close involvement in projects from early contract stages through to completion. You'll typically oversee 4–6 projects at any one time and play a key role in ensuring quality delivery, safety compliance, client satisfaction and financial performance.

The position is mainly office‐based with regular travel between Toowoomba and Warwick project sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support and mentor Project Managers, Site Managers and site teams
* Oversee construction delivery across Active Built projects
* Participate in early contract involvement including costings, client engagement and project handover
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to quality standards
* Maintain compliance with WHS legislation, safety policies and site procedures
* Review construction programmes, coordinate resourcing and manage procurement requirements
* Support contract administration including progress claims, variations and cost risk identification
* Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Identify risks early and provide practical solutions on site
* Drive continuous improvement across construction systems and processes
* Oversee project close‐out including defects, handover documentation and practical completion
What You Bring to the Table
* 5–10+ years' experience in construction supervision / management roles
* Strong commercial and industrial construction experience (residential also valued)
* Sound understanding of contracts, estimating, standards and building codes
* Demonstrated leadership capability with a steady, collaborative approach
* High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
* Confidence working directly with clients and consultants
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* WHS knowledge with a safety‐first mindset
* Microsoft Office proficiency (Build Exact experience advantageous but not essential)
* White Card (essential)
* Open or Medium Rise Supervisor License (ideal but not essential)
