Computer Systems Technician - State Wide ICT Services Delivery

We have an exciting opportunity to join a State‑Wide Service Delivery field services team. Systems Technicians based out of the Hope Island Office support schools across the outer southern suburbs of Brisbane, extending down to Coolangatta and west into the Beaudesert area, providing essential on‑site technical expertise and reliable service to help schools operate at their best.

The Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and undertaking the following key tasks:
* Approximately thirty‑five schools and corporate sites are visited, providing a broad range of IT services assisting staff and students.
* Participate in, and be a member of an IT support service team ensuring that the team provides a high level of service and issue resolution in line with agreed performance standards.
* Ensure that agreed levels of service are maintained and contribute to the ongoing development of standardised processes required for the provision of IT support.
* Install and maintain systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies.
* Provide expert IT advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systems.
* Advise, communicate, apply and monitor the implementation of departmental information standards and policies.
* Participate in service level and work practice reviews.
* Maintain currency of technical proficiency and skills.
Skills and Experience
* Detailed working knowledge of Windows 2016 and above server operating systems.
* High level of technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, and network switches.
* Good understanding of end‑user device and printer support.
* Knowledge of Windows 10 and above, iPadOS, and macOS.
Mandatory Requirements
* Driver's licence – required due to travel between base location and schools.
* Diploma of Information Technology (or equivalent based on ACS skills assessment). Please include a copy of your qualifications as part of your application.
