A well-known local wholesaler with more than 20 years of experience delivering exceptional customer service is now seeking a Management Accountant to support the finance function as the business continues to grow.
Operating within a fast-paced, multi-site environment, this hands‐on role is well suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys management reporting, financial analysis, and supporting informed decision‐making in close collaboration with senior management and the finance team.
About the role
The Management Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis across the business. The role provides critical financial insight to support performance and decision‐making, while also contributing to continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and reporting.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
* Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
* Analyse financial performance across retail stores and distributor operations.
* Provide financial analysis to support pricing strategies, promotional activity and marketing initiatives.
* Perform cash flow reporting and working capital analysis.
* Evaluate the financial impact of marketing campaigns, including margin analysis, break‐even assessments and return on investment (ROI).
* Conduct monthly analysis of marketing expenditure and operating costs.
* Identify business performance trends and growth opportunities.
* Deliver financial insights to support senior management performance reviews and decision‐making.
* Support statutory and compliance reporting requirements (BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, FBT).
* Contribute to improvements in finance systems, reporting and workflows.
* Work collaboratively with the finance team and across the business.
* Provide ad‐hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
About you
* CA or CPA qualified (or working toward qualification).
* Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or Senior Accountant role.
* Strong management accounting, reporting and analytical capability.
* Experience in a multi‐site or operational business environment preferred.
* Comfortable working in a fast‐paced, evolving environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to translate financial data into practical insights.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
