About the Role
We are hiring an Associate Manager to lead the in-app merchandising strategy to create a best-in-class consumer experience. You will be responsible for shaping how consumers discover, choose and order on the app by testing and scaling new features and surfaces, translating engagement and conversion data into actionable insights and managing the in-app experience for new merchant launches and seasonal occasions. Your focus will be on creating and executing on a vision to sustainably grow the consumer base across Australia, whilst balancing long-term marketplace health and promotion spend.
We are looking for a hands‐on builder to curate a personalised and highly rewarding consumer experience, affecting the KPIs for consumers and merchants within the Strategy & Operations team. This is a highly visible team with fast feedback loops, where ideas quickly turn into live experiences and impact can be seen in real time across consumer engagement, order growth and dollars earned for merchants. The initiatives you own will directly impact merchants from the Restaurants and New Verticals teams, and you will partner closely with the Product, Marketing, Ads & Promotions teams to deliver on your vision.
You will report into the Manager on our Consumer Strategy & Operations team. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in‐office and 2 days remote (Sydney / Melbourne).

* Build and execute - test and incorporate new product features in collaboration with international product and engineering teams and continually measure performance
* Collaborate daily with a broad team - you will lead Australia's in‐app experience, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Ads & Promotions teams to ensure Restaurant and New Verticals merchants meet their conversion and impression targets
* Analyse and lead - use quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategy, prioritise initiatives, define and track KPIs relating to merchandising effectiveness and communicate insights to senior stakeholders
* Experiment - use a data‐driven and customer‐first approach to identify improvement opportunities and make our business 1% better everyday
We're excited about you because you will have...
* 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, product, technology, banking, analytics or related experience
* A bias for action - you are a relentless and independent problem solver, are a "do‐er" and can influence and challenge effectively, to execute creative solutions
* Proven analytics skills - Intermediate SQL knowledge and competency with dashboards is required
* Strong business acumen - you are able to identify the "so what" from data, interdependencies between performance metrics and translate them into operational strategy
* Thought leadership - you will be able to apply a framework to break down ambiguous problems and conduct methodical deep‐dives into drivers of the issue
* Exceptional cross‐functional leadership and ability to manage multiple workstreams at once
