Leading Hand Tradesman – Commercial Landscaping

Outdoor Solutions Queensland is a commercial landscaping contractor delivering government and commercial projects across Far North Queensland.
We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Tradesman who can run a site, lead a crew, and enforce standards without supervision.
This is not a senior labourer role.
This is an on-site execution authority position.

The role
You will be the highest authority on site day-to-day, responsible for:
* Directing and coordinating site crews
* Enforcing quality, safety, and productivity standards
* Executing the work plan set by the Operations Manager
* Identifying issues early and escalating before they become problems
* Maintaining site order, discipline, and professionalism
You will not be micromanaged.
You will be expected to take ownership.

This role is for you if you:
* Have proven experience running crews on construction or landscaping sites
* Are calm, decisive, and respected on site
* Enforce standards without conflict or ego
* Communicate early and clearly
* Take pride in doing work properly the first time
* Can operate independently and be trusted to make sound decisions

* Need constant direction or motivation
* Avoid difficult conversations
* Cut corners or tolerate poor workmanship
* Blame others instead of fixing problems
* Are looking for a "step up" without accountability

Requirements
* Trade-qualified landscaper or equivalent experience
* Proven experience leading crews
* White/Blue Card
* Current driver's licence (HR advantageous)
* Strong understanding of site safety and quality standards
