An established residential property developer is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its development and delivery team, overseeing residential projects in Western Sydney. This confidential opportunity will play a key role in managing the delivery of multi-residential and/or mixed-use developments from planning approval through to construction completion and handover.
The Project Manager will work closely with internal development teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Project Delivery & Management
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of residential developments from post-DA through construction to completion.
* Oversee project planning, procurement strategies, contractor engagement and delivery methodologies.
* Monitor program, cost, quality and risk across all phases of the project lifecycle.
* Coordinate design development to ensure buildability, cost efficiency and compliance with approvals.
* Manage and coordinate external consultants including architects, engineers and specialist advisors.
* Lead tender processes and contractor procurement in collaboration with the development team.
* Oversee builder performance, contract administration and project reporting.
* Track project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
* Review and assess variations, payment claims and project cost reporting.
* Identify and manage project risks and cost impacts.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Liaise with internal development managers, project stakeholders and external partners.
* Manage communication with contractors, consultants and authorities.
* Provide regular project reporting to senior management.
Governance & Compliance
* Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with statutory requirements, development approvals and contractual obligations.
* Oversee quality assurance, safety compliance and risk management processes.
Key Requirements
* Demonstrated experience delivering residential development projects in Australia.
* Background in client-side project management, development management, or construction delivery.
* Experience managing multi-residential, build-to-sell, or mixed-use developments.
* Strong understanding of the development lifecycle including planning approvals, design coordination and construction delivery.
* Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and project programs.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Background
* Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Property or related discipline.
* Experience working for a developer, developer-builder, or client-side consultancy.
* Familiarity with the Western Sydney development market and delivery environment.
