Clinical Midwife Opportunity at Women's and Children's Health Network
We are seeking an experienced clinical midwife to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network. As a clinical midwife, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our midwifery services.
* This is a part-time position working 0.42 FTE, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
About the Role:
* Supporting the Midwife Unit Manager in achieving quality patient care through clinical education.
* Facilitating and maximising learning opportunities for ward/unit staff.
* Demonstrating developing leadership, coordination, and management skills.
* Promoting a multidisciplinary team approach to care and education.
* Ensuring effective and efficient use of available resources.
* Accepting accountability for personal practice standards and delegated activities.
* Guiding and supporting the development of less experienced staff.
* Collaborating with other health professionals, women and their families, and external agencies to achieve optimal health outcomes.
About You:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post-graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of midwifery practice in accordance with NMBA and relevant professional college standards of practice.
* Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines whilst working under minimal supervision.
