- 12 months contract with possible extension
Our client design, manufacture, distribute and service diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems.
They are the world's largest independent designer and manufacturer of diesel engines.
**Available shifts**:
Morning Shift: 7.00am to 3.30pm.
Afternoon shift 1.30pm until 10.00pm
Monday to Friday with over time available mid-week and Saturdays when required.
**License required**:
RF Forklift license
As the Storeperson you will be working for the parts distribution centre in the outside yard area, loading and unloading trucks, con noting, supporting the CORE team and other general warehouse duties as required.
- Traffic Management in the Yard
- Receiving and Despatching stock.
- Loading and Unloading trucks (Pallets, engines of various sizes and weights)
- Con notes, labelling and some picking of outbound stock going to Alstom, Kenworth, Volvo etc.
- Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
- Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
- Operates various pieces of equipment including 3, 5 and 8 tonne Forklifts.
- Reports any mechanical problems.
- Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assist CORE team as required.
**Preferred level of experience**:
Someone with 3 years' experience who can hit the ground running is preferred.

- Make effective decisions and take relevant action when required when handling product to minimise waste / damage / rework?
- Follow and support performance measures that Ensure the facility results are consistent with budget and business plan objectives.
- Recommend, contribute to and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Be accountable for own performance including being on the job for all designated hours including start, finish and break times.
- Promote a focus on customer service by ensuring that quality and delivery are at the forefront of actions taken
- Maintain expected service levels in all areas
