Through education, counselling, and community programs, we help people develop the skills and resilience to navigate life’s challenges.

By joining Relationships Australia Queensland, you can be part of a dedicated team making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities.
About the role
Are you passionate about creating engaging events that make a meaningful impact in the family law sector? We are seeking an organised and proactive professional to join our team in a dynamic, event-focused role supporting the Family Law Pathways Network (FLPN).
In this role, you will take the lead in planning and coordinating a range of information sessions, forums, and networking events that bring together service providers across the family law community. You will manage event logistics end-to-end, support Steering Committee coordination, and contribute to successful fundraising initiatives and program delivery.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure events are well-executed, purposeful, and responsive to community needs—helping to strengthen connections, share knowledge, and enhance collaboration across the sector.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy bringing people together, and have a strong eye for detail, this is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality events that drive real outcomes.
This is a part-time role (45 hours per fortnight), with flexibility in how hours are distributed.
Additionally, you will:
* Actively promote family law issues and services within the local service sector through a variety of formats and channels.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the family law community.
* Coordinate the FLPN Steering Committee, ensuring stakeholder participation, quorum, and effective consultation on activities and planning.
* Plan forums, focus groups, events, and information/education sessions to address identified gaps in family law knowledge.
* Maintain comprehensive local resource files and develop education packs for stakeholders and clients.
* Assist with fundraising initiatives and social media promotion in consultation with the Team Leader and Steering Committee.
* Ensure confidentiality, duty of care, and compliance with legislative and funding requirements, including accurate data collection and reporting.
* Support administrative, file management, and operational planning tasks as required by the organisation.
About you
You are a proactive and community-focused professional with a genuine passion for supporting individuals and families navigating the family law system. With strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, you thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to advancing inclusion and equity.
Your experience in developing resources, coordinating events, and working within community development frameworks makes you an ideal fit for this role. You are adaptable, innovative, and dedicated to continuous learning, ensuring that you deliver high-quality outcomes while upholding organisational values and legislative requirements.
Additionally, you have:
* Relevant qualifications in social or behavioural sciences or Event Management, Public Relations or Marketing.
* Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering information, education, and awareness programs.
* Proven ability to foster and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Experience coordinating committees, forums, or events within the community sector.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills, including file and diary management.
* Knowledge of - or willingness to learn - family law issues and relevant legislative frameworks.
* Commitment to confidentiality, risk management, and continuous professional development.
