Oz Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Turner & Fitter to join our workshop team in Woodridge QLD. This is a full-time, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in precision machining and quality workmanship.
You will be involved in the machining, fitting, and assembly of components used across a range of industrial and mining applications. Our work includes general engineering repairs, custom machining, fabrication support, hydraulic component work, and breakdown repairs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Operate manual lathes and general workshop machinery
* Turn, machine, and fit components to specifications and tight tolerances
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and job instructions
* Measure, inspect, and ensure quality standards are met
* Assist with fabrication, assembly, and repair work as required
* Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, clean work environment
* Work collaboratively within a small, experienced workshop team
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualified Turner & Fitter or equivalent experience
* Strong experience with manual machining and fitting
* Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
* Experience in industrial or hydraulic repair work is an advantage
