About the Role
\
We are seeking a Family Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team, focused on supporting families impacted by alcohol and other drug use.
\
This role will help improve treatment outcomes and build stronger support systems in the community.
\

1. Provide intake, screening and psychosocial assessments for family members, carers and friends
\
2. Deliver one-on-one or group-based counselling and care planning
\
3. Collaborate with clients to develop goals, improve coping strategies and strengthen family roles
\
4. Work closely with clinical, AOD and community teams to coordinate care and support referrals
\
5. Offer education, harm minimisation advice and ongoing care planning
\
6. Contribute to a holistic model of care across mental health, social, legal and wellbeing needs
\
7. Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing trauma-informed, family-inclusive and culturally appropriate services
\
8. Maintain accurate records and participate in professional development opportunities
\
9. Foster positive relationships with local communities, including Aboriginal people and their families
\

About You
\
\
10. You have experience in AOD, mental health, family support or related fields
\
11. You possess excellent communication, assessment and care planning skills
\
12. You have a strong understanding of the role families and carers play in AOD treatment and recovery
\
13. You are culturally aware, community-connected and passionate about empowering others
\
14. You hold a relevant Tertiary Qualification (or willingness to obtain)
\
15. You have a current driver's licence, WWCC and Police Check (or ability to obtain)
