Position Information
Jamison High School is a proud, comprehensive co-educational 7-12 high school located at the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Western Sydney. With an enrolment of approximately 860 students, we are a diverse and inclusive community where 10% of students identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and 15% come from non-English speaking backgrounds. Our school features a dynamic and collaborative Inclusive Education Faculty, offering seven specialised classes designed to support students with autism and intellectual disabilities.

Selection Criteria
1) Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism (Secondary).
2) Demonstrated ability to work as an active and engaged member of the Inclusive Education Faculty.
3) Innovative classroom practice and experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating quality teaching and learning programs and strategies to meet the learning and wellbeing needs, goals and interests of students with a disability.
4) Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work proactively and professionally as part of a team, including parent, carers, school learning support officers and the wider school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
